New Delhi: Congress MP Sudha Ramakrishnan's gold chain was snatched on Monday morning in Delhi’s high-security Chanakyapuri area. The incident took place
near Tamil Nadu Bhawan. Despite heavy security in the area, the snatcher managed to escape after the theft. A case has been registered by Delhi Police, and an investigation is underway. Police are examining CCTV footage from the area to trace the suspect. Reportedly, Sudha and another woman parliamentarian, Rajathi, had stepped out for their usual walk from Tamil Nadu Bhawan. While they were near the embassy, a man on a Scooty approached them from the opposite direction. He was wearing a full-face helmet, making it difficult to identify him. Suddenly, the man snatched the gold chain from Sudha's neck and fled. The MP sustained injuries to her neck during the act, and her churidhar was also torn due to the force.
