New Delhi: The Delhi-Leh IndiGo flight scheduled to depart at 6:30 am on Tuesday, 9 September, did not leave until 12:03. After missing first slot, the
plane was scheduled to leave at 11 am, but missed again. Meanwhile, all the passengers, who were still onboard, were confused and frustrated as the crew did not provide any explanation for the hours-long delay. A video from inside the plane has also surfaced, showing crew members attending the passengers waiting for the plane to take off soon One passenger shared a video on social media showing crew members serving refreshments during the wait. According to airport sources, the delay is due to bad weather conditions. However, despite the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting thunderstorms in Delhi, the city did not experience rain this morning. Leh is expected to see light to moderate rain. This has led to speculation about the actual cause of the delay, which remains unclear. An official told Times Now, “IndiGo Flight 6E 2006 is facing a delay of over five hours with passengers still on board. It was supposed to depart at 6:30 am but has not taken off yet.” Video Surfaces The video circulating on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, shows passengers seated inside the aircraft. One social media post reads: “It’s been 4 hours with no movement of aircraft, no announcements on IndiGo flight 6E-2006 to Leh. Passengers — including one of my colleagues — have been kept inside the aircraft since morning without any clarity. ‘4 ghante bahut hote hain — decision lene me’ #avgeeks @IndiGo6E @DGCAIndia #IndiGo #FlightDelay #PassengerRights #DGCA.”
