A view that could have been the best– turned into a nightmare as soon as the internet realised the reality behind it. By this point in time, everyone knows
what’s up with Delhi-NCR's air. The AQI is seemingly not ready to reduce down to 2 digits, while the winter fog is only making everything worse. From people suffering and even developing respiratory issues to some even leaving the National Capital to merely ‘breathe’ better has become a regular thing for people living in Delhi and its surrounding cities. All in all, people know what is happening– but the realisation ended up hitting even harder, after an aerial view of Delhi-NCR surfaced online. The clip showed a dense fog and smog covered city, to the point that it was almost looking beautiful, until the realisation of it being nothing but toxic air hit the onlookers. Apart from the dense cover of smog and fog, it was only high-rise buildings that were visible in the clip. The video was seemingly recorded by a plane. The clip went viral in an instant, leaving netizens fuming. Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post. Check out the viral post: “Delhi is unliveable,” a user said. The post was shared on Instagram, by ‘Vishal Rana’. The post was shared yesterday and pulled 61K views from people.
Internet's reactions:
“I came to DELHI from korea around 10 jan. The skies looked so clear and pretty till the time we were flying over china but as soon as we started approaching Delhi I was disgusted to see the grey heavy smog. Ever since the day I have landed my throat and respiratory issues have been insane. I haven’t been able to breathe properly and feel pain in my chest. I don’t know how we have normalised such low and hazardous standards of living. I wish people here also spoke up instead of just going with the flow,” a user wrote.

“The whole country needs to wake up. We haven't got freedom yet. 1947 has to repeat,” added a second person. “This really is a great video, but the reality is extremely sad," added another person in the comments section.
“I got many opportunities in Delhi NCR. My many friends left Chandigarh for gurgaon/NCR for better salaries but I never dared to give another interview for NCR location. Tbh, I never understand why someone wants to live in such a miserable toxic environment,” added the next internet user.
