During her address, Isha Ambani, Executive Director of Reliance Retail Ventures, recalled a family dinner conversation in which her father spoke about Reliance's first public offering and the vision of her grandfather, Dhirubhai Ambani.
"A few evenings ago, at our dinner table, my father, Shri Mukesh Ambani, was remembering his days in 1977. He was 20 years old, working on Reliance's first public offering. My grandfather, Shri Dhirubhai Ambani, had decided to take Reliance to the people," she said.
The anecdote highlighted the family's long association with India's capital markets, with the Jio Platforms listing representing another chapter in Reliance's evolution.
Isha also underlined the financial scale Jio has achieved since its launch, pointing to its annual revenue and earnings as evidence of the speed at which the business has expanded.
"This year, Jio earned about $15.5 billion in revenue and about $8 billion in real earnings. Very few companies anywhere in the world have done this. That too in only 10 years. But behind every number is a customer. And to every customer, Jio aapne banaya. You welcomed it."
‘I Could Not Be Prouder’: Isha Praises Brother Akash
Isha also paid an emotional tribute to her brother Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio, recognising the effort and commitment he has brought to the company's development over the years.
"Akash, for the last 13 years on this journey, I don't think you've come home a single night before midnight. I could not be prouder to be your sister," she said.
The personal message offered a glimpse into the work behind Jio's expansion, as the siblings acknowledged the dedication involved in building and scaling the business.
Anant Ambani Calls Jio Listing A Moment Of Gratitude
Anant Ambani, Executive Director of Reliance Industries Limited, began his address by thanking the people whose trust and support helped bring Jio to this stage.
"Let me begin with the one word that matters most today, gratitude. To the millions who believed in Jio and made this day possible," he said.
He also described the stock exchange ceremony in spiritual terms, linking the company's public listing to the Indian tradition of sharing the fruits of an offering.
"The bell at the exchange will ring for me like a temple bell because for me business is pooja and every pooja ends with prasad. Prasad is always shared. Today, Jio is shared with India," he stated.
The remarks framed the listing as more than a corporate milestone, presenting it as an opportunity for the public to participate in Jio's next phase of growth.
Anant further stressed the unity between the three siblings and their shared responsibility in carrying forward the family's ambitions.
"Today, Isha Didi, Akash Bhai and I stand before you as three bodies but one soul with one commitment to honour these dreams."
Anant Ambani Says Reliance's Values Will Remain Unchanged
Concluding his speech, Anant reflected on the generations of the Ambani family whose aspirations and guidance have shaped Reliance's business philosophy.
"Reliance will keep dreaming new dreams, but its roots stay the same. My grandfather's dream, my grandmother's blessings, my father's guidance, and my mother's sanskar of humility and care," he stated.
