Minecraft players across the United States and several other parts of the world faced serious problems on Saturday after the game’s servers went down twice
within a 24-hour period. The outage affected Minecraft Realms, making it difficult or impossible for many users to log in, join servers, or load their worlds. Downdetector, a website that tracks service outages based on user reports, first alerted players when it tweeted that “user reports indicate problems with Minecraft since 2:22 PM EST.”
Just hours later, Downdetector posted another update saying, “reports indicate problems with Minecraft since 11:46 AM EST,” confirming a second disruption in a short time.
