The Opposition stepped up its protest over the NEET paper leak issue on Thursday, with Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi leading a delegation of INDIA
bloc MPs to Gandhi Smriti on Tees January Marg in Delhi. As per the visuals, the lawmakers were seen boarding buses to the memorial, where the Opposition said it would pay tribute to students who allegedly died by suicide over the NEET paper leak controversy. "Right now, MPs and leaders of the INDIA alliance are peacefully heading to Gandhi Smriti on Tees January Marg. We are going there to remember the students we lost — the children who were driven to take their own lives after the NEET paper leak," Rahul Gandhi wrote in a post on X. "We go to stand with the students who lie injured today - beaten for peacefully demanding justice and accountability. India's students are not alone. The entire Opposition stands with them and their demands," the Congress leader added.
As the Opposition leaders come together, heavy security was deployed outside the residence of Lok Sabha LoP and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in Delhi.
