Which Schools Are Delayed Or Closed In Philadelphia And Maryland?
Philadelphia and parts of Maryland will start the week with school delays as crews clear snow and deal with dangerous cold temperatures after the weekend storm.
Philadelphia schools will open two hours late on Monday (December 15). The delay applies to all School District of Philadelphia schools, Early Childhood Centers, the Dr Constance E Clayton Education Center, archdiocesan high schools, and Catholic elementary schools in the city.
The school district said students who arrive late because of weather issues will not be marked late if a note from a parent or guardian is provided.
Students who stay home due to weather will also be excused. Staff who arrive late will receive excused lateness. Schools will move all outdoor activities indoors for the day.
