Adventure sports are only ‘adventure’ and ‘sports’ if they are being done under proper guidance with correct equipment– because the absence of any of such
factors can turn even the safest ‘adventure sports’ into a ‘deadly accident’. Recently, a rather horrifying video came forward, which was quick to question the safety and security protocol of adventure sports in India. The clip showed a man parasailing above the sea in Goa, allegedly at the Baga Beach. Suddenly, the thrill turned into a nightmare after the cable snapped, resulting in the man falling into the sea. Luckily, the man had a life jacket on, and the parachute was also helpful in slowing down his fall. The video showed the rest of the tourists going into panic as soon as they saw the cable snapping. As soon as the video went viral, netizens began to react. Most found it scary, while others questioned the equipment maintenance. As per NDTV, the tourism department has asked for a report on the incident, and has also warned about “strict action”, and possible “licence suspension”. Times Now could not confirm the details of the post. Check out the viral post: “Goa cable snapped while parasailing 29/03/26,” a user said. The post was shared on Instagram by the handle ‘anilchandela83’. The post was shared a day ago and pulled more than 53K views from people.
Internet’s reactions:
“The operator is in Chilling mode,” a user said. “Never trust such rides,” added another. “I don't understand why these sports activities are operated so lightly in India. In other countries, safety is mostly prioritised,” added another.

“Don't worry nothing will happen, u have a life jacket. But this still should be concerning in so many ways. How did the cable snap, was it some kind of accident or were the organisers lazy?” added another person.
“I also experienced an accident in Goa in this same activity. Goa is not at all safe,” commented the next person in the comment section. “He is lucky that it snapped so early, he would have died had it snapped after it went up,” added another.
