New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday alleged that Meta had restricted his social media account in India without
providing any explanation. In a post on X, the former Delhi chief minister tagged Meta and Meta India, questioning why his account had allegedly been made unavailable to users in the country. "Why have you restricted my account? Verbal enquiries at your India office revealed that my account has been restricted in India and is unavailable in India. Why? No one in your office is giving any reasons. No one is suggesting how restrictions can be removed," he wrote.

Kejriwal further claimed that his attempts to contact the company had not yielded any meaningful response.
"That's pretty bad service," he said, alleging that emails sent to Meta received only routine acknowledgements without any substantive reply.
The AAP chief also took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that Meta was succumbing to political pressure.
"Don't bow down to our Prime Minister so much. Else he will allow u to run only his own account in India," Kejriwal wrote.
Meta has not immediately responded to Kejriwal's allegations or publicly commented on the claimed restriction.
