Delhi: Delhi Police on Tuesday arrested a man named Dawood Anasari (21) after a video showing a black SUV overspeeding and moving in dangerous zig-zag
manner on GT Karnal Road in Delhi went viral, putting other commuters life at risk. An FIR was registered at Samaipur badli police station, and the black scorpio SUV seen in the video has seen seized. The video went viral on Monday on social media platforms, several users posted that clip on X, demanding swift action from Delhi police. After his arrest, DCP Outer North Hareshwar V. Swami said that a case under section 281 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was registered against Dawood Ansari. We immediately formed a team and identified the car to find out the owner. A man named Dawood Ansari has been arrested, and the car has been impounded. A case under section 281 of the BNS has been registered... The car is registered in the name of Dawood Ansari's father. He has been arrested", he told ANI. Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Confirms Action An X user named Fundamental Investor had shared the video on Monday and tagged authorities including Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, he wrote," Dear Delhi CM @gupta_rekha, This car DL 3C DD 5516 is putting everyone's life at risk. @DelhiPolice team - Can we please identify this owner and educate them please? In 24 hours please."
