New Delhi: In a joint operation with the Jharkhand Police, Delhi Police’s Special Cell has arrested five suspected terrorists. The operation included raids
across four to five states, and around eight individuals were interrogated. The Delhi Police Special Cell has uncovered links between the accused and Pakistan, which are being verified. The suspects were reportedly in contact with people outside India through multiple social media accounts, and evidence of these communications has been seized. He is said to have operated the group from within India while maintaining communication with people abroad through social media platforms. Initial findings suggest that the suspects were involved in radicalising individuals in India and recruiting them into their network. The group is believed to have operated several online communities with multiple members, with the aim of spreading communal tension and disturbing religious harmony.
