India firmly rejected Pakistan’s comments on Jammu and Kashmir at the United Nations, exposing Islamabad’s history of political repression, election manipulation
and human rights violations. Speaking during the General Debate of the UN General Assembly’s Third Committee on Wednesday, PP Chaudhary, leader of India’s delegation to the UNGA and Chairperson of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on One Nation, One Election, stated that Pakistan has consistently misused international forums to propagate falsehoods and spread propaganda. Rejecting Pakistan’s “baseless remarks” on Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhary reaffirmed that the Union Territory is an integral and inalienable part of India. He condemned Pakistan for its “habitual misuse” of UN platforms to push narrow political agendas, while engaging in election rigging, imprisoning popular leaders, carrying out attacks on its own citizens and violently suppressing protests. Chaudhary also reminded the international community that even Pakistan’s Army Chief had referred to the country as a “dump truck." Highlighting India's developmental records, he said that in the past decade, more than 250 million people have been lifted out of multidimensional poverty, nearly 800 million individuals benefit from the Public Distribution System and social security schemes now reach 64.3% of the population. He said that India's progress and governance model stand in stark contrast to Pakistan's record of repression and instability, reiterating that India remains committed to peace, democracy and equitable growth. Concluding his address, Chaudhary reaffirmed India’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat – Developed India by 2047.” He stated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India “will stand as a trusted partner of the Global South and the United Nations, offering a stark contrast to Pakistan’s divisive approach.”
