During his visit to a school in Maharashtra, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) Founder and Convenor, Abhijeet Dipke, has alleged that Adivasi students do
not have proper beds or good bathrooms in the school but they have books with pictures of the Chief Minister (CM) of Maharashtra. "This is our bathroom. Even in the rainy season, we take a bath here. We don't even have the facility to take a bath here. We take a bucket of water from the borewell and take a bath," a student can be seen telling Dipke in a video posted by the CJP leader. Explaining the situation, Dipke stated that "this is basically an ashram school. It's like a boarding school. Children study here and live here. They have to take a bath in this bathroom." He further stated that there there is no roof above the bathroom. "There is no tap here. They are sent here to take a bath like animals. It's like a stable," he further alleged.
While pointing out alleged poor facilities in the school, he further claimed that the books distributed in the school carry the photo of Maharashtra CM and accused the government of focusing on building their image, rather than provising proper facilities to students.
"Even though there is a facility here, but in this ashram school, books are distributed with photos of the CM of Maharashtra. This is more important. Publicity is more important," Dipke alleged. "PR is more important. These children are getting a facility or not, it doesn't matter to these politicians. They just have to take care of their publicity."
Meanwhile, CJP co-convenor, Ashutosh Ranka, claimed that the Rajasthan government installed a water tank worth Rs 2.5 lakh in a school for Adivasi children.
"The Rajasthan government has installed a Rs 2.5 lakh water tank. Even though there are three outlets for tap, there is only one tap and in that too, water is not coming," he claimed in a video.
He further demanded answers from the state government about why such an expensive water tank was installed, and why i it not functional. "We need to know where did this Rs 2.5 lakh go. We demands answers, the locals of this village demand answers. You should be shameful of the way you are treating students," he concluded.
