In the latest development, the ninth edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 has expanded into a pan-India dialogue with students
across the country. Like earlier, PPC is no longer restricted to Delhi, as PM Modi directly interacted with students from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, Raipur in Chhattisgarh, Dev Mogra in Gujarat, and Guwahati in Assam for the latest edition. It displays that the flagship student programme organised to help them combat stress before boards is breaking away from its traditional venue to impart guidance to students from across the nation. Taking to the microblogging site X, the Ministry of Education wrote, "For the first time, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi connects with students across multiple locations, turning exam conversations into a nationwide moment of confidence, clarity, and connection." "When students are heard everywhere and their concerns and anxieties are addressed by none other than the Hon'ble PM, their confidence level surges, exams feel a normal part of life, and dreams feel closer and real," it added. PPC has grown into a nationwide movement driven by Prime Minister Modi’s vision of bringing students, parents, teachers, and society together to create an atmosphere where every child’s individuality is recognised, nurtured, and encouraged to flourish without fear or pressure. Its popularity is quite evident by the applications it brings every single year. The latest edition drove registrations from 4.5 crore people, with an additional 2.26 crore individuals actively participating in activities linked to Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026. The total participation crossed the 6.70 crore mark, highlighting the programme's expansion across the nation. The main PPC event is scheduled for January-end. Participants from all over the country will attend the event. The first-ever Pariksha Pe Charcha was held in 2018. It's an opportunity for students, teachers, and parents to have an open dialogue with PM Modi on questions surrounding ways to approach upcoming board exams with a calm and stress-free demeanour. Alongside, issues related to learning and personal development are also deliberated upon. Notably, candidates have to appear for a nationwide competition, organised by MyGov, to be able to have a discussion with PM Modi.
