‘Stranger danger’ is not exactly a phrase that came out of nowhere; there are a good number of reasons why it is one of the first lessons that most parents
and teachers teach to their young kids. All in all, trusting a stranger is not exactly the best idea, yet that is exactly what this man was about to do! An incident recently came forward online, which showed the said man interacting with a woman- a stranger- in the middle of a highway. The woman seemed in a hurry, resulting in the man offering assistance. However, despite the man offering her a lift to wherever she wanted to go, the woman kept on asking for the man’s bike! Naturally, the biker did not agree and outright refused to give his bike to an unknown person. However, the woman, regardless, continued to ask for the bike, claiming that her brother was in trouble, and she needed the bike to go to a nearby hospital. As per what was seen in the clip, the woman was also seen assuring the man that she would “return” in the next “5 minutes”. At the end, the man decided to leave the stranger behind, along with stating how she was possibly trying to scam him. As soon as the video went viral, netizens began to react. Most advised the biker to never stop for unknown people on the roadside, while others expressed relief over the man’s well-being. India, more than usual, has witnessed incidents where people either got scammed or got assaulted by strangers looking for a chance to loot commuters. “First of all, how will she reach the hospital in just 5 minutes and secondly, never stop for such scammers on the highway or any other road for that matter– at any given time of the day,” commented the next person.
