According to reports, Flight TK 661 from Istanbul encountered intense turbulence while making its approach to Tunis-Carthage International Airport. A video of passengers screaming as turbulence hit the flight surfaced online. Passenger Marina Maiskaya shared a video on Instagram. After making three unsuccessful attempts to land at Tunis-Carthage International Airport, the aircraft was diverted to an alternative airport. Video Of The Incident:
The flight from Istanbul was approaching Tunis-Carthage International Airport on Sepetmber 10 (local time) when the incident took place.
"The flight itself was smooth, but things turned absolutely terrifying as soon as we began our descent," she wrote, as quoted by Fox Business. "I have never in my life feared for my life like that — and my mom was with me, too,” Maiskaya added.
"We were shaken violently each time, and on the third attempt, we actually started to plummet," she wrote.
The flight landed safely.
