A magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck Egypt shortly after midnight GMT on Monday, with tremors reported in neighbouring Israel, according to the German Research

Centre for Geosciences (GFZ). The earthquake occurred at 00:00 GMT and had a preliminary depth of 10km, GFZ said. The epicentre was initially located at 30.14° north latitude and 32.34° east longitude. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage, and authorities have not yet issued further details.
