The First Lady of the United States of America (USA), Melania Trump, gave a glimpse of a futuristic humanoid robot at a recent tech summit. Melania Trump is hosting
the Fostering the Future Together summit in Washington, DC which is aimed at 'expanding access to educational tools' and protecting kids in digital environments, according to the White House. At this event, First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS) walked down a red-carpeted White House hallway with the humanoid robot and claimed that this robot can be used as a replacement for teachers. The human-shaped robot was introduced as "Figure 03," and Melania Trump has urged greater use of artificial intelligence in education. The First Lady claimed that in the near future a hypothetical humanoid teacher can quickly access classical studies, mathematics and other subjects to deliver it to students in a personalised manner. The robot can plan lesson as per each student's or a group's learning speed and "emotional state." After the robot and Melania Trump walked in together, the first lady paused just before the entrance to the East Room while the robot circled the table where the panelists were seated and took up a position in the centre of the room. "Thank you, first lady Melania Trump, for inviting me to the White House. It is an honour to be at Fostering the Future Together's global coalition inaugural meeting," it said. "I'm Figure 03, a humanoid built for the United States of America. I am grateful to be part of this historic movement to empower children with technology and education." The robot then proceeded to offer similar greeting in 10 other languages, and then thanked everyone before retracing its steps back down the red carpet.
This robot was introduced by a startup robotics company Figure AI, based in Sunnyvale, California in October 2025. It is a third generation humanoid robot, which has been designed to help people with daily household chores such as laundry, cleaning and washing dishes, according to its website. "So proud to see F.03 make history as the first humanoid robot in the White House," tweeted Brett Adcock.
