Jaipur: A government school building, whose poor and unsafe condition was highlighted by members of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) last month, has been
demolished by authorities, officials said on Wednesday. According to a PTI report, the old building of Government Primary School, Rampura (Kanwarpura), was bulldozed in the presence of district administration and education department officials. "The building has been demolished," an official said, as quoted by the news agency. The school had been declared dilapidated and unsafe following a technical survey in September 2025 and was subsequently taken out of use.
‘CJP’s Impact’
Reacting to the demolition of the dilapidated school building, CJP hailed the development as a victory for its campaign to highlight the poor condition of government schools.
“CJP Impact 🔥 A few days ago, our team was attacked while on their way to inspect this school, which was being run under a broken shed. Congratulations to everyone, this school is now being rebuilt!” the CJP said in an X post, while sharing the video of the demolition of the school building.

CJP spokesperson Saurav Das also welcomed the development, calling it a 'School Thik Karo' impact.

The Rajasthan government last month announced that a new school building would soon be built at Rs 18 lakh. Of the corpus, Rs 12 lakh was sanctioned from the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) on August 13 and another Rs 6 lakh from the MLA fund.
The school hit the headlines after a CJP team visited Rampura village last month as part of its 'School Thik Karo' campaign to highlight the condition of government schools. The visit led to a confrontation between CJP members and villagers and FIRs from both sides.
The CJP alleged that BJP workers had attacked its members, while villagers accused the visiting group of intimidating residents and creating a ruckus.
Last month, the Rajasthan government announced that construction of a new building for a government primary school in Jaipur would begin from September 1.
According to news agency PTI, the government said Rs 18 lakh has been sanctioned for the new building of Government Primary School, Rampura (Kanwarpura), in Sanganer block. Of this, Rs 12 lakh was sanctioned from the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) on August 13 and another Rs 6 lakh from the MLA fund.
The announcemnet was made after a CJP team visiting the village on Friday as part of its “School Thik Karo” campaign was attacked following a confrontation with villagers. Notably, FIRs have been registered by both sides over the incident.
