The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is inviting online applications for Pragati Scholarship Scheme, which is a special scheme for girl
students who are pursuing technical degrees. Interested and eligible girl students can apply for this scholarship at the the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) — scholarships.gov.in. As per the official notification, the last date to apply for this scholarship is October 31. Interested candidates should remember that Aadhaar card and Aadhaar seeded bank account in the name of candidate is mandatory for submitting online application under Pragati scheme.

This scholarship provides financial support to up to two girl students per family whose annual family income is less than Rs 8 lakh. For those pursuing a degree in AICTE-approved institutions, eligible students admitted in the first year or through lateral entry in the second year can receive a scholarship of Rs 50,000 per annum, awarded for a maximum of four years (first-year entry) or three years (lateral entry).
Similarly, for students enrolled in diploma programmes, the scholarship offers Rs 50,000 per annum for a maximum of three years (first-year entry) or two years (lateral entry). This amount is provided as a lump sum to cover expenses such as tuition fees, books, computers, stationery, and equipment, with no additional provision for hostel or medical charges.
