experience is to be believed, it would be some heavy creaking- that is bound to amuse you. A video was recently shared online, which showed the man ‘listening’ to an old oak tree allegedly in France’s Brittany. The man- Charles Rose- was lucky enough to find a ‘small, quiet hamlet, with a chapel at the edge of the path’- much like how it looks in fairy tales and movies. The area also had many old oak trees. Grabbing the opportunity without wasting any time, Rose took out his equipment and began to hear the tree. Allegedly, Rose used a ‘geophone and a contact microphone’ to hear the creaking of the oak tree. It somewhat sounded like an old door’s creak- however, in a much more beautiful way than downright being creepy. The post was quick to go viral, as it left many impressed. Most loved that they too got to experience something rare through the clip, while some simply were in awe. Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post. “The sound of an oak tree creaking. While traveling through Brittany, I came across a small, quiet hamlet, with a chapel at the edge of the path. Right next to it stood several very old oak trees. These oaks are hollow and split. Their shape comes from lightning strikes that hit them over time. They no longer have a heartwood, yet they’re still alive. Leaves continue to grow. One of them was open enough to step inside. I did. It was the first time I ever recorded the sound of a tree from inside its trunk. When I looked up, I could see the entire internal structure of the tree. A special experience! That day, the wind was blowing: perfect conditions to record the creaking of this old tree. To capture the sound, I used a combination of a geophone and a contact microphone. Together, they offer a fuller frequency range,” the post read. The video was shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘Charles Rose’.
