With that in mind, one can only imagine the frustration and even worry that began to build up inside this UK woman– after not only her Uber cab driver began to forcefully demand tips from her, but also ended up locking her inside the cab. Yes, you read that correctly. A video was shared online, which showed the driver- a woman and an immigrant worker- passive-aggressively asking for tips, along with claiming how they were “mandatory” in the passenger’s country; UK. It is important to note that the tipping service is not mandatory in the UK. The passenger pointed out the same and kept on repeating how she was getting late and had people waiting for her- the driver, however, did not budge. The driver, in fact, remained stuck to her demand and even stated how the passenger can choose to “sit inside the cab and sleep”, if she is not planning to tip. Although it could not be confirmed whether the woman was Indian, most netizens still commented that the Uber driver was an Indian, who was doing nothing but “embarrassing” her fellow Indians. Many also demanded action against her and commented how she needs to be “deported”. Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post.
