THIS record-breaking highway covers 14 countries– linking North to South America. The Pan-American Highway reportedly can take its travellers on a 30,600 kilometres (nearly 19,000 miles) journey! As per reports, the highway connects North, Central, and South America, where one can start their journey from Alaska, and end it in Argentina– if driving 30,600 kilometres is the goal. Reportedly, the 14 countries that the said highway follows are Canada, the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, and Argentina. Each country cooperated not only in the building of the road but also in its unbroken continuity and maintenance. From deserts and the mountains to rainforests and even the coasts, the road offers all kinds of views. Reportedly, the move, along with increasing connectivity, aimed at encouraging adventure travels, boosting tourism and increasing auto sales in the US.
