A storm has erupted in Parliament over the NEET paper leak issue as the much-anticipated debate is finally underway without disruptions. On the NDA's behalf,
Union Minister Jitendra Singh and MP Bansuri Swaraj delivered their speeches. MoS Singh argued, that the Anti-paper leak bill was introduced in order to protect the future of the students. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already taken cognisance of the matter and ordered a task force. "The bill has been made non-bailable. The government is trying to make it more effective and better," he added. Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi hit back at the Government's claims and said, "the Union government is not serious about education in India. The bill is indicative of that." He questioned why the former Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was received with flower garlands after his resignation, even though the matter was of such seriousness. He went on to question why the Chairman of the National Testing Agency (NTA) was being shielded and said, "the government removed the NTA DG, but not the Chief of the agency. Why is he being shielded? He is being protected due to his links to the RSS."
