Monday night following a dispute over a pet dog. According to police, the altercation began after a woman’s pet dog allegedly bit the domestic help of her neighbour. When she was confronted by the victim's employer, a verbal argument broke out between both parties. According to the employed, he had asked the woman to keep the animal under control. The PCR call was made by Rizwan alias Raju (40), a resident of Rani Garden, who stated that the pet dog of his neighbour, Neelam Singhal, had bitten his domestic help, Sarthak Negi. Rizwan claimed that when he confronted Neelam Singhal, an argument ensued involving her, her 17-year-old daughter, himself (Rizwan), and his mother. The matter was dismissed, but not for long. Neelam Singhal (36), a resident of Rani Garden, claimed that she, her 17-year-old daughter, and three others, Kartik Batra (21), Rishi Sharma (24), and Aditya (22), were injured during the quarrel. On the other hand, Rizwan alias Raju, Sarthak Negi (27), and Shahid (36), all residents of Rani Garden, also alleged that they were assaulted by the opposite group. However, police officials stated that no visible injuries were found on either side. Both parties have been sent for medical examination, and appropriate legal action is being taken. Police further confirmed that the situation is currently under control and normalcy has been restored in the area.
