Delhi Temperature: A cold wave, dense fog, and a dip in temperature have gripped Delhi, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing an orange
alert in the national capital. Residents in Delhi woke up to a temperature of 3.2°C on Tuesday, January 13. Meanwhile, the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded in the ‘very poor’ category. The extreme weather conditions are affecting the health of the residents, especially children, said experts. Due to this, the administrations had to extend winter vacations and order school closures in some parts of Delhi-NCR, hampering their education. The Delhi Airport is also facing the consequences of the dense fog. Several flights were reportedly delayed due to low-visibility at the runway.
