rain. Amer Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Jaipur’s most popular tourist attractions, receives thousands of visitors daily. Confirming the development, Amer Palace Superintendent Dr. Rakesh Chholak said, “Due to heavy rains in Amer today on 23.08.2025, the wall of Rambagh in front of Jwala Mata Temple has collapsed. Low-lying areas have been inundated, disrupting road and rail connectivity in eastern Rajasthan, which has received most rain, and several villages have been cut off due to waterlogging.
Several districts, including Bundi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Karauli, and Jaipur, recorded over 10 cm of rainfall till Saturday morning, leading to widespread waterlogging.
A red alert has been issued for extremely heavy rainfall in Bhilwara and Chittorgarh, while an orange alert is in place for Bundi, Kota, Pali, Rajsamand, Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara, Jalore, and Sirohi.
