The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the final answer key and results for the University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test (UGC NET)
2026 soon. An official date and time are yet to be announced by the authorities. Candidates who appeared for the eligibility test can check their qualifying status and download scorecards through the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, using their login credentials: application number and password. Qualified candidates can avail of the Junior Research Fellowship, secure a job as an Assistant Professor or take admission to a PhD programme. As per the schedule, UGC NET 2026 exams were held on December 31 and January 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7, 2025, to award Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/or eligibility for Assistant Professorship and/or admission to Ph.D. UGC NET Result December 2025: Previous Year Result Trends Refer to the table below to check the past years' result dates.

- On the homepage, look for the scorecard link available.
- Enter the application number and password.
- The UGC NET Result December 2025 PDF will be displayed on the screen.
- Download and save it for future reference.
UGC NET Result December 2025: Qualifying Marks
To be considered qualified, candidates belonging to the General (Unreserved) / General-EWS category must have appeared in both papers and secured at least 40% aggregate marks together. Whereas, those belonging to the reserved categories (viz., SC, ST, OBC (belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer), PwD/PwBD, and third gender) have to obtain at least 35% aggregate marks in both papers taken together.
Can I Apply for Rechecking or Revaluation?
No! There shall be no re-evaluation/re-checking of the result. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
