India has issued an advisory for Indian nationals in Israel, advising them to avoid non-essential travel and remain vigilant. The official X (former Twitter)
account of the Embassy of India in Israel, in a post on Thursday, urged Indians to strictly adhere to the safety guidelines and protocols issued by the Israeli authorities and the Home Front Command. "In view of the prevailing situation in the region, all Indian nationals currently in Israel are advised to remain vigilant and strictly adhere to the safety guidelines and protocols issued by the Israeli authorities and the Home Front Command (https://oref.org.il/eng). Indian nationals are also advised to avoid all non-essential travel to Israel," it said. Iran Unrest: India Prepares Evacuation Plan
This comes as tensions escalate in Iran amid open threats of intervention by the United States. In a separate message to protesters, US President Donald Trump said that “help is on the way”. Later, he said he had been told that killings in Iran's crackdown on protests were easing and that he believed there was no current plan for large-scale executions, adopting a wait‑and‑see posture.

Meanwhile, India is drawing up contingency plans to evacuate its nationals from Iran amid the rapidly deteriorating security situation. Official sources on Thursday said the Ministry of External Affairs is preparing to facilitate the return of Indian nationals who wish to come back to India. The government is also exploring the use of both civil and military transport aircraft for a possible evacuation.
India on Wednesday advised all its citizens in Iran to leave the country by available means and avoid any travel there.
"In view of the ongoing developments in Iran, Indian nationals are once again strongly advised to avoid travel to the Islamic Republic of Iran until further notice," the Ministry of External Affairs said in an advisory.
According to estimates, a little over 10,000 Indians, including students, are currently living in Iran.
