The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) schedule. The computer-based examination will be conducted between February
16 and February 18. Through this recruitment drive, a total of 9,970 ALP vacancies across various railway zones will be filled. According to the official notification, the exam city intimation slip and travel authority for SC and ST candidates will be made available 10 days prior to each candidate’s scheduled exam date on the respective RRB websites. The RRB official notice reads, “The link for viewing the Exam City & Date and downloading of Travel Authority for SC/ST candidates will be made live 10 days prior to the final exam date of the candidate for respective CENs on the official websites of all RRBs. Downloading of e-call letters will start about four days prior to the exam date mentioned in the Exam City and Date intimation link.”

The RRB ALP CBT 1 will be conducted as an objective-type examination. It will consist of 75 questions that will carry a total of 75 marks. Candidates will be given 60 minutes to complete the paper.
The recruitment test is designed to assess fundamental skills and knowledge across four sections, including Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness.
The RRB ALP recruitment process comprises multiple stages to ensure fair and comprehensive evaluation. Candidates who qualify the CBT 1 will be shortlisted for CBT 2.
