Justice Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai and 20 judges of the Supreme Court on a weekend retreat at Ranthambore Tiger Reserve were in a totally different attire in tune with their mood- dressed in safari jacket, hat and looked all eager for tiger sightings. They were all smiles. The judges were ferried from Delhi to Taj Sawai Resort, Ranthambore in two Volvo Buses. They took the same buses to the tiger park. Once in, they were shifted to an open safari jeep. “All of us are together …some free time from the hustle bustle of the work and now we are with the beautiful nature…hope we get to see tigers”, Justice B R Gavai told Times Now.
“It’s a great feeling …all of us are together we all thought we will utilise the weekend just for recreational activities ..lets see how successful we are inside the forest”, senior most judge of the Supreme Court Justice Surya Kant, next in line to be Chief Justice of India, told Times Now.
Justice Dipankar Datta too spoke to Times Now: “Wonderful experience to be here .hope to see some tigers …that is the real purpose for this safari”

SC Judges Sojourn In Ranthambore
CJI BR Gavai and most judges of SC accompanied by spouse are on a 2-day trip to Ranthambore this week. They reached Ranthambore yesterday night and will return to Delhi tomorrow evening.
Each judge has paid the travel and lodging expenses from their pocket, said sources. Tomorrow they will be visiting Ranthambore Fort.
Similar two day trip was undertaken Jan 11-12 this year by then Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna and 24 judges to Visakhapatnam.
