Amid the Bharatiya Janata Party's ongoing push to reach out to Gen Z, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Sunday took a sharp dig at the BJP's choice of
young faces, questioning their credentials to engage with the younger generation. CJP spokesperson Saurav Das welcomed the BJP's outreach but took a dig at BJP leader Nitin Nabin over his earlier remarks referring to the young generation as "virus and cockroach" and protesters as part of the "tukde tukde gang". Taking a swipe at BJP leader Smriti Irani as well, Das questioned her record as Union Education Minister, citing the Rohith Vemula case and her alleged role in dismantling public universities. He also referred to the controversy surrounding her educational qualifications. "Three claps to the BJP for a marvellous set of 'Gen Z faces'!" Das said, mocking the BJP’s efforts to connect with young voters.
BJP's Gen Z Outreach: Constitutes Team To Strengthen Engagement
BJP National President Nitin Nabin, National General Secretaries Smriti Irani and Vinod Tawde, Gujarat Minister Harsh Sanghavi, Chhattisgarh Minister OP Choudhary, along with several other leaders, have been included in the team constituted for the party's Gen Z outreach initiative, sources informed.
It has been learnt that the BJP is expected to begin its outreach programme with Gen Z soon. The programme has been launched in an effort to establish a more direct and sustained dialogue with the younger generation.
With a key focus on Gen Z, the programme is likely to focus on understanding the aspirations, concerns and expectations of Gen Z, while providing a platform for young people to engage directly with BJP leaders and share their views on issues concerning them.
