Mumbai University has begun its pre-registration for admission to its Undergraduate (UG) programmes for the academic year 2026-27. Students can fill out
and submit the pre-registration form through the official website at muugadmission.samarth.edu.in. This mandatory registration is the first step for students seeking admission to First Year Undergraduate (FYUG) courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, and other professional streams across all affiliated colleges of Mumbai University. As per the official notification, the university said that the pre-registration process will be conducted in two parts. The first part will be completed before the declaration of class 12 results, while part 2 will be done once the results are announced. Students will be required to enrol at the official portal, choose their preferred courses and colleges, and provide required documents, such as mark sheets, caste certificates (where required) and photographs. Class 12 marks are usually used to prepare the merit lists. It is recommended that aspirants have their scanned documents at hand and watch the portal for the link to the 2026-27 session. “After completing their login, their login is created. In this login, the student's profile will be created. To complete the profile, students will have to fill in their own information, name, address, ABC ID, educational qualification, reservation, photo, signature and contact number,” the university said. Especially during the pre-registration process for admission to UG programmes, students will have to register for the course for which they want to take admission.
