A bizarre burglary in Hyderabad has left the internet stunned after a suspected thief allegedly fell asleep inside the very house he had broken into. Videos
purportedly showing the accused sleeping inside the residence, while allegedly carrying the stolen jewellery, have surfaced online and are going viral. According to viral claims, the man, who is reportedly from the same locality, entered the house intending to steal valuables. He allegedly searched through the rooms and opened a cupboard before taking gold jewellery. However, instead of escaping from the property, the accused reportedly lay down inside the house and fell asleep. The unusual turn of events came to light when the homeowners returned and found their belongings scattered and the cupboard reportedly ransacked. Videos circulating on social media purportedly show the alleged robber lying asleep on the floor inside the house. The family is also said to have discovered the stolen jewellery in his possession. Rather than immediately waking him, the homeowners reportedly recorded the bizarre scene before alerting the police.
Police subsequently arrived at the residence and took the accused into custody. The jewellery was also reportedly recovered and seized.
The accused was allegedly under the influence of marijuana when he entered the house, according to claims surrounding the incident. Police have registered a case and are investigating the burglary, while also looking into whether the man may have been involved in similar thefts.
The incident has since gone viral online, with social media users reacting to the unusual sequence of events. What was apparently intended to be a quick burglary took an unexpected turn when the alleged thief reportedly became so intoxicated that he fell asleep before making his escape.
