Bengaluru Rain: Commuters in Bengaluru faced a sluggish start to their Sunday morning as persistent rainfall led to waterlogging in several parts of the city,
triggering slow-moving traffic on key stretches. According to the latest advisory from traffic authorities, the affected routes include Bagalur Cross towards IAF Junction, Hebbal towards the Airport, Hebbal towards the City, Devinagar towards Kuvempu Circle, and Kuvempu Circle towards Devinagar. Additionally, both sides of the road from Vaddarapalya towards Hennur and Vaddarapalya towards Geddalahalli are experiencing significant slowdowns due to standing water.

On Sunday, Bengaluru recorded a maximum of 27.6 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 20.3 degrees Celsius, with 5 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours. Humidity levels remained high, peaking at 95% in the morning, adding to the discomfort for road users caught in traffic snarls.With the forecast predicting continued showers through to 16 August, including spells of heavier rain on 15 and 16 August, traffic bottlenecks in low-lying and flood-prone areas are likely to persist.
Authorities have urged motorists to plan their journeys in advance, avoid waterlogged stretches where possible, and allow extra travel time. Public transport users are advised to keep track of route diversions and delays. Residents have also been cautioned to stay updated with weather alerts as the city navigates through another wet week.
