What is the story about?
Ayushmann Khurrana is one of the most loved actors in Bollywood today. Born in Chandigarh in 1984, he started out as a radio jockey and TV host before
making his film debut with Vicky Donor in 2012. Over the years, he has become known for picking films on unusual subjects that most actors would stay away from. He is also a singer and an author. With his latest film Udta Teer now in theatres, here is a look at his home in Mumbai. The actor lives with his wife, writer and filmmaker Tahira Kashyap, and their two children, Virajveer and Varushka, in a high-rise apartment at Windsor Grande Residences in Andheri West. The building sits on Andheri Link Road, close to the popular Lokhandwala area.
A White Home Full Of Art
The apartment is spread over about 4,000 square feet and reportedly has seven bedrooms. Its interiors were done by Tanisha Bhatia, a friend of Tahira. The couple picked white as the main colour for almost every room. This keeps the home calm and simple, and lets the colourful decor, quirky furniture and modern art stand out.The living room is said to be Tahira’s favourite spot. It has an ivory couch, a glass centre table, a marble side table and Jaipur rugs on wooden floors. Semi-sheer white curtains cover large French windows, which bring in lots of light and are perfect for watching the Mumbai rains. On the other side of the room sit a charcoal grey sofa and a Buddha statue.

Ayushmann's awards are kept in one corner, and a big bookshelf holds the family’s books. One wall works like a small gallery, with black and white photos of the actor and a sketch of him. There is also a black bar counter with green velvet chairs and golden details, with an unusual wall clock above it. Since Ayushmann is also a singer, the house has a music space with a console, speakers and instruments.
The kitchen keeps the white theme going. It is L-shaped, with pearl white walls and cabinets, a grey countertop and grey flooring. The master bedroom has a white Victorian-style headboard set in a golden frame, a white table with a floral chair, a small sitting corner and a sleek dressing mirror. Black and white photos of Ayushmann hang here too.
Balcony And Price
The balcony is filled with plants and looks out at the city’s tall buildings. It is one of the couple’s favourite places to click photos. As per multiple media reports, Ayushmann paid around Rs 19 crore for a 4,000 sq ft flat at Windsor Grande, which came with four parking spaces. He also paid a stamp duty of about Rs 96.5 lakh. His younger brother, actor Aparshakti Khurana, bought a home in the same complex.
Even with a big home in Mumbai, Ayushmann has stayed close to his roots. In 2020, the two brothers bought a house in Sector 6, Panchkula, near Chandigarh, for around Rs 9 crore for their family. Ayushmann still visits his hometown often.
