However, the AQI is reported to hit 240 in Victoria which has continued to register poor air quality. Yesterday’s air quality was in the ‘poor’ category at 277, which could linger in the air.
Warmer air in winter mornings has been recognised to improve vertical air movements, preventing the build-up of fine pollutants, quoted The Times of India. The clear and warm weather expected during the day could disperse a portion of the pollutants, but it is advisable for residents to avoid prolonged exposure to air in congested areas of the city. Additionally, it is advisable to wear a mask to mitigate exposure.
