Rahul Gandhi, who participated in the INDIA bloc's protest march from Parliament's Makar Dwar to the Election Commission of India (ECI) but was stopped
by the Delhi Police along with other Opposition MPs, once again launched a scathing attack on the Modi government, CEC Gyanesh Kumar, and the poll body. During the protest, Rahul Gandhi, along with his sister and Lok Sabha MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, forcefully entered the Akashvani Bhawan as they were being stopped by the police from continuing their march towards the ECI office. As high drama unfolded when Rahul and Priyanka were inside the Akashvani Bhawan, the Leader of Opposition accused the government of trying to stop their peaceful protest and alleged that whatever has been "done to the country is treason", be it PM Modi, Amit Shah, RSS chief, or Gyanesh Kumar, saying "no one will be spared". Accusing the government of destroying democracy as Opposition MPs were stopped during their march towards the ECI office, Rahul said, "Around 300 Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs came some time ago. We wanted to meet Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and his two colleagues. The police stopped us here. We are representatives of the people of India and represent the voice of the country. I do not know why 300 MPs have been stopped here and made to sit here and are not being allowed to go to the Election Commission. I do not know what the problem is." Speaking to the media from inside the Akashvani Bhawan, Rahul renewed his vote theft charge and said, "PM Modi, Amit Shah, RSS chief have 'hijacked' the country through 'vote chori' carried out by CEC; all of them will face action." In another statement, Rahul said, "PM Modi, HM Amit Shah, RSS chief, CEC Gyanesh Kumar have destroyed democracy in the country... don't care what BJP says, I am standing here to protect democracy."
