‘International Bezzati’ is how most of the internet is reacting, after a video of a foreign man speaking about Delhi smog was shared on social media. Delhi is currently
not the best place to be- as far as a deteriorating AQI is concerned. The city is pretty much facing an ‘air crisis’, with people suffering from several issues as a consequence of the same. Amid the same, a foreigner’s remark went viral. The video was shared online, where the tourist was being interviewed by the new agency ANI, in front of the India Gate. As per the video, the man was in Agra before reaching Delhi- where his bus ride showed him the stark difference between the pollution levels of both cities. The smog was only getting ‘thicker’, as the bus continued to drive towards the National Capital. He further stated that things kept getting ‘worse’, to the point that it became a task to even see the Sun properly. “It's pretty bad. I came from Agra by bus, and the closer I got to Delhi, the thicker the smog was. You could definitely tell the difference. The closer I got to Delhi, it kept getting worse to the point where I could even barely see the sun anymore,” the foreigner was heard saying. The video went viral, with people reacting in multiple ways. Most found the tourist’s remark a ‘dark reality’ that India is seemingly ‘ignoring’. Meanwhile, some blamed the authorities for not taking stricter action against the issue. Currently, Delhi stands at AQI 311, which comes under the category of ‘Severe’, as per the monitor of SAFAR- India.

“Parali burning should be banned and alternatives should be given to farmers. That's the only solution,” a user said. “Shane on you! If you don't like our smog, go to another country!” added a second person.
“Hopefully we get a few more tourists on-board. This might open the eyes of authorities and the government. in any other developed country this prompts for total shutdown but sadly we live in India," added a fourth person.

“It's a huge shame for all the lawmakers. This problem has been persisting for so many years, yet they haven't found any solution. If they don't care about the people here, at least think about our international image. What kind of image are we projecting to the world about Delhi?” added another.
