The Haryana Board has today (December 31) issued a clarification on the documents required for online registration of the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test
(HTET) 2025 exam. The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) has clarified that the Aadhaar card is not mandatory for applying for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2025 exam.. Sharing detailed information, Board Secretary Shri Munish Sharma, IAS, said that the Hon’ble Supreme Court has not made Aadhaar compulsory for examinations, but has allowed it to be used as a valid identity document. In line with the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, Aadhaar is therefore not mandatory while applying online for HTET 2025. Candidates can apply for HTET 2025 until the last date, January 4, 2026. Candidates who wish to apply for the Haryana TET 2026 exam can do so at the official BSEH website, htet.eapplynow.com, or at bseh.org.in. The registration process has commenced for exams of Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.
HTET January 2026: Steps to apply for Haryana TET exam
Step 1: Register on the online portal by entering details such as name, father’s name, date of birth, mobile number and email ID. An application ID will be generated and must be saved for future use.
Step 2: Fill in personal information including address, domicile details, category and bank account information.
Step 3: Select the HTET level or levels for which you are applying.
Step 4: Enter academic and professional qualification details as applicable.
Step 5: Upload required documents in the prescribed format, including photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression and PwD certificate, if applicable.
Step 6: Preview the application carefully and submit it after verifying all details, as no changes will be allowed after final submission.
Step 7: Pay the application fee and download the registration slip for reference.
He further informed that candidates will be able to make online corrections to their application details on January 4 and 5, 2026. The editable fields include personal details, photograph, signature, thumb impression, level, subject selection for Levels 2 and 3, caste category, disability category, and home state.
Candidates have been advised to complete their applications well in time and regularly visit the official website of the Board, bseh.org.in, for the latest updates, to ensure they do not miss any important information.
