The Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Guwahati, has made an announcement related to the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, GATE 2026. The Institute has introduced
the two-paper combination list. Now, the candidates will be given a chance to choose the second paper as per preference. Candidates who have planned to register for GATE 2026 must choose their primary and second test papers from the newly introduced combinations only. GATE 2026 will be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 in two shifts. Registration for the same will begin on August 25, and eligible candidates will have to get themselves registered on the official website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in. It is to be noted that candidates who choose a paper other than those given in the list will NOT be allowed to register. There is a possibility that the institute may open up two additional paper combinations at a later date. However, it is subject to the availability of infrastructure and scheduling feasibility.
