The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) opened the re-evaluation portal for class 12 students in the early hours of June 2 -- a day after the scheduled
activation of the portal. While the portal was made active, several students took to social media platforms such as X and Reddit to complaint that they were not being able to access the portal properly. However, these allegations have now been dismissed by CBSE. Claiming that the portal was working just fine, the national education board stated that over 16,000 students had already submitted their applications by 3 pm of June 2 (Tuesday). "The CBSE revaluation portal is currently supporting over 8,000 concurrent users. As of 3:00 PM today, more than 16,000 students have successfully completed their submissions," CBSE stated in an official tweet on X. However, CBSE also added that some miscreants tried to attack the portal through cyberattack. "While thousands of students accessed the CBSE re-evaluation portal today, malicious actors attempted to disrupt services through a barrage of cyberattacks," CBSE stated. "Most recent being a denial of service attack attempt causing 1.5 million hits on the portal within a matter of 2 minutes and more than 1 lakh attempts of unauthorised file access." Keeping this in mind, and based on student feedback, CBSE has "further refined the platform, including extending session time limits to make the process more convenient and seamless." "Our teams remain vigilant and responsive to ensure our dearest students are facilitated in all ways possible," CBSE concluded. This year, around 4 lakh students had applied for 11.3 lakh answer sheets on CBSE’s revaluation portal earlier. According to the data provided by CBSE earlier and the data provided today, roughly 4 per cent of students have submitted their verification application by 3 pm today (June 2).
