Mumbai: As Diwali nears, Mumbaikars can look forward to a festival of lights that truly lives up to its name — bright, sunny, and rain-free. According
to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city will enjoy clear skies and stable weather throughout the festive week, with no rain warnings in sight.
Mumbai Weather: Sunny Days, Warm Evenings
The seven-day forecast for Mumbai-Santacruz shows that the city’s weather will remain consistent from 19 October to 25 October, including Diwali Day. Temperatures are expected to hover around 35 degrees Celsius during the day and 24 degrees Celsius at night, creating a warm but bearable festive atmosphere.
The IMD recorded a maximum temperature of 35.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24.6 degrees Celsius in the past 24 hours, with no rainfall reported, a pattern likely to continue well into the week. The humidity level, recorded at around 75%, will lend a touch of mugginess typical of coastal Mumbai, but without the discomfort of monsoon moisture.
Perfect Conditions for Festive Celebrations
With a clear sky forecast and no weather warnings, Mumbaikars can expect uninterrupted celebrations across the city. From rooftop parties to evening fireworks and seaside gatherings, the weather looks ideal for outdoor festivities.
Sunrise is expected around 6:34 am, with sunset at 6:13 pm, ensuring long daylight hours before the city lights up in festive colours.
