Officials are investigating whether it was caused by an electrical short circuit, a kitchen malfunction, or another possible cause. Firefighters worked tirelessly to bring the situation under control and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings in the densely populated area. The incident comes days after a major nightclub fire in Goa that killed 25 people, which prompted the Odisha Fire and Emergency Services (OFES) to order a statewide audit of all restaurants and standalone establishments with seating capacity above 100.
