A new Joint Admission Process (JAP) will soon be launched by the Indian Institutes of Management Kashipur, Raipur, Ranchi, and Tiruchirappalli for MBA
admissions. JAP will be conducted in 2026, and the admission process for all four IIMs will be coordinated by IIM Raipur. Why has JAP been introduced? Among many reasons, the main one is to streamline the admissions process for MBA aspirants. This single admission process will allow candidates to apply to a total of four participating IIMs through a single window. It is to be noted that the eligibility to take admission in IIMs still remains the same. One will have to crack the Common Admission Test, CAT. The Joint Admission Process will only be carried out after the declaration of CAT results. Prof. Sanjeev Prashar, Director-In-Charge, IIM Raipur, while talking about the announcement of JAP said, "This initiative exemplifies our commitment to resource optimization, student-centric admissions, and strengthening the IIM brand for future leaders. JAP 2026 reflects our dedication to maintaining high standards and opening new opportunities for aspiring MBA candidates.”
