GATE 2026 Brochure Is Out: Key Changes Inside

• IIT Guwahati: GATE 2026 registration begins August 25, ends Sept 25 (Oct 6 w/late fee).
• GATE 2026 exams: Feb 7, 8, 14, 15. Results: March 19, 2026. Fees revised.
• Energy Science (XE - I) added to GATE Engineering Sciences paper. Apply via GATE website.

The Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Guwahati, will begin the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, GATE 2026 registration on August 25. Ahead of this,

the conducting institute has released the GATE 2026 information brochure. It has all the details of the examination, like dates, eligibility criteria, registration criteria, syllabus, exam centers, and more. The registration process will end on September 25, but candidates will be allowed to apply till October 6 (with late fees). The GATE 2026 exam will be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 in two shifts. The results will be released on March 19, 2026. What has been changed this year?

• IIT Guwahati has revised the GATE 2026 application fee.
• A new sectional paper (Energy Science - XE - I) has been introduced under the GATE Engineering Sciences paper.

How to Apply For GATE 2026

1. Eligible candidates should go to the official website
2. On homepage, candidates should click on the application form link
3. In the next step, candidates will have to get themselves registered by providing the required details
4. They will receive the GATE enrollment ID and password on registered email ID
5. They should fill in all the details and upload the required documents
6. Pay GATE application fees and submit the form
7. Take its printout for future references
