Yatra event in Darbhanga earlier this month. The BJP supporters announced a 'Bihar Bandh' across the state for this protest. BJP supporters stated that the protest will be a peaceful demonstration against the remarks made by the Opposition leaders, but will involve road blockades in some of the major cities of the state. As of now, schools, colleges, coaching centers, and most offices have been ordered to remain closed on September 4. Only the essential and emergency services will be functional. Meanwhile, schools are also closed in some other parts of the country due to rains and unfavourable weather conditions. Punjab, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh have announced holidays till September 7 considering the torrential rains. Additionally, in view of adverse weather conditions and as a precautionary measure, Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Anshul Garg has ordered the closure of all educational institutions, including schools, colleges, universities and coaching centres across Kashmir today (September 4). School holidays in Jammu are expected to extend for the remaining week too. However, Delhi NCR schools (Gurgaon, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad) will remain open today, as the intensity of rain decreased on Thursday morning.
