A private jet flying from Acapulco to Toluca crashed on Monday afternoon in the capital of the State of Mexico, just a few meters from the runway of Toluca International
Airport, Adolfo López Mateos. The aircraft, registered as XA-PRO, went down in the San Pedro Totoltepec district, crashing into a warehouse located at the corner of Campo Street and San Pedro Street, only a few blocks from the airport terminal. Emergency services from the State of Mexico quickly responded to the scene.

The impact triggered an explosion followed by a fire. Authorities confirmed that there were 10 people on board the jet, including the pilot, co-pilot, and eight passengers. As of the latest update, six bodies have been recovered.
Initial reports state that the jet departed from Acapulco and was scheduled to arrive in Toluca at 12:29 p.m. Around that time, the State of Mexico’s C5 emergency system received reports of the crash.
Officials have not yet released further details on the cause of the accident, and emergency operations at the crash site are ongoing.
