The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has postponed the MP State Eligibility Test (MP SET 2025) due to unavoidable reasons. The exam, which
was scheduled to be conducted on January 11, 2026, stands cancelled. The revised date for the examination will be communicated to candidates separately. In an official notice, the MPPSC stated, "Due to unavoidable reasons, the said examination is hereby postponed. The new date for the examination will be announced separately. All other conditions mentioned in the advertisement shall remain unchanged." In other words, the eligibility, age limit, vacancy details, total number of posts will remain the same. Those who clear this exam will be eligible to apply for assistant professor positions in Madhya Pradesh's universities and colleges. MP SET 2025 Exam Format The MP SET 2025 will be conducted in an offline format. It will comprise two papers, paper 1 will be compulsory and will focus on teaching and research aptitude. It will feature 50 questions worth 100 marks. Paper 2 will cover the elective subject selected by the candidate. It will consist of 100 questions with a total of 200 marks. The combined duration for both papers will be three hours.

Qualifying Status
- Candidates from the General category must secure a minimum of 40% to qualify
- Candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) need at least 35%.
The deadline to apply online was November 20, 2025, and candidates were permitted to make corrections to their application forms between October 30 and November 22, 2025.
