The NRI's experience, though positive and full of praises for India, has sparked a debate on the internet.

Comparing living standards between India and United States, a user on X wrote, "It’s the other way around. A few things are better in India but when it comes to what actually defines a better living standard, from AQI to walkable public spaces, New York is way ahead, no comparison."
Another user wrote on X, "I am an outsider and I can say that everything wrong with the country has to do only with lack of civic sense among the people."
While a third user wrote, "Nobody is paying $600 a month for mobile and data, I assure you."
